Back In The South...

God is so good and has blessed us so much that I have so many things to be grateful for, and I have found that to be something I have relied on the last couple of days when everything has just seemed so crazy. Professional baseball is a crazy life, and unless you are in it there is no way you can truly understand all that goes into it and all the factors that contribute to whether someone makes it all the way or not. Chris was released by the Rangers last Saturday so we are completely changing our plans and course in life again! I think God definitely threw us a curveball with this big change! Baseball with the Rangers didn't work out for Chris due to some of those factors that most people don't even realize exist. He had an incredible Spring Training and gave up only one hit the whole month. He had a great season last year with the lowest ERA on the team and I am so proud of his accomplishments and his hard work. Even though things didn't go as planned, we are focused on his strengths and his accomplishments and focused on the truth that God has a much bigger and better plan for us and especially for Chris.

It's actually pretty exciting to think that we could possibly be settling down into a permanent home and being a "normal" couple sooner than we thought!! I know that Chris will miss baseball very much, but I am extremely confident that he will have success and be great at whatever he does in life. He is so good at everything he does! Please pray for him as he moves on in life to the next step. He could get a call tomorrow that would allow him to return to baseball, and I would support him all along the way. He is currently sending out his resume to companies and looking for a job in hopes of moving on and starting his career so we will see how that goes. We need lots of prayer right now in this time of big decision making, and please think of us as we make these choices and wait for God's guidance and His timing. Thankfully, we have two sets of parents that are so giving and loving and have shown nothing but support for us and confidence that we will find our way. Thanks so much and we love ya'll!!

As for me, I had my first real job interview for a teaching position today, and I am pleased to say that it went extremely well! I was pretty nervous, but it was nothing like the feeling I used to get before competing bars!! =) (My teammates know how that feels!)

God is good, and we are counting our blessings in the midst of all this. We can't wait to spend Easter with my family and to figure out what our next steps will be. Hope everyone has a great week!!
