I feel so bad because I haven't updated our blog in so long!! I guess I figured that I have updated everyone in person at some point by now, but I thought it would still be nice to share what is going on with the people we haven't seen. I'll try to keep it short.... =)
We are back in my hometown in South Carolina and we moved into an apartment last weekend. It is brand new and super cute, and we are so excited to finally have our own place where we will be settling down for a year or two. We got to unpack all of our wedding gifts and have tested them all out and it has been like Christmas for us for the last two weeks while we've broken out all the wonderful gifts we haven't used since we got married 4 months ago. I think my favorite thing to use so far is our little sandwhich grill. It makes yummy sandwhiches!! I also love the fact that I have a very furnished kitchen that is all ready for me to make whatever I want and I have everything I need to make it. We decided to spoil ourselves and purchase living room and bedroom furniture and it all comes in this week! We cannot wait for it to get here!!! Thankfully my parents bought us some Auburn chairs for our Auburn shower and we have been sitting on those instead of the floor. War Eagle!! =) We have already gotten our new dining room table and it looks great. I know that our apartment is going to be comfy and cozy for a year or two for us, but I was a little worried about how Janedoe would feel about it. I think she decided after a few days that she likes it and I think she realizes that this is the first time she has a home and doesn't have to be taken somewhere else and be left again. Poor doggy.... She finally has a home! And I am proud to say that she has officially chased off all the squirrels from the apartment complex and has barked at every stranger that walks by at least once.
Chris found a job here at a place called LivNsidout. ("living inside out") It is brand new and he is doing a lot of different things there. He does personal training, gives baseball lessons or any other sport lessons, and works with a group of doctors doing EKG readings, testing people for high blood pressure, and working with people to change their lifestyle to get healthier. He tested someone last week and found that they had had a stroke and didn't even know it. I'm so proud of all he is doing!! He has also found that he loves coaching and is pursuing a few coaching jobs in the area so keep him in your prayers!!
I am still working hard to find a teaching job, and praying that if it is God's will I will be able to find one for the next school year. In the mean time, I am coaching the gymnastics team at a local gymnastics club and I am actually enjoying it. It is a good summer job and will keep me busy until I find my "real" job as a teacher.
Hopefully that is a pretty good update and I will be sure to do a little better about updating this in the future! Have a great week!!
