3 Months of Marriage and 2 Busy Weeks....

Chris and I celebrated (kinda) our 3 month anniversary yesterday!! We didn't get to see much of each other because he went to the field at 7 and was there until 3, and then he had a meeting from 6-9. He is so busy! I spent the day with Jerry and Kelly, and we went out to lunch at a great place called Paradise Bakery, and then we went to watch Chris throw in the Double AA game against the White Sox. He threw the third inning, and did another wonderful job. He allowed one hit, but he immediately cleared the bases by getting the next guy to ground out into a double play. The next guy grounded out, and that was the end of another successful inning. Chris is supposed to pitch again on Monday, and tomorrow (Sunday) is supposed to be a shorter and easier day. Keep him in your prayers that he will stay healthy and stay strong through the long, hard days!! He has already blessed us so much with our three months of wonderful marriage and by allowing us to be together right now instead of over a 1,000 miles from each other. We are SO blessed!!

We had a great week with Jerry and Kelly (Chris's parents) while they were out here visiting for Jerry's Spring Break. They got to see Chris pitch twice, and I get to spend the days with them hanging out by the pool a lot, shopping, and exploring Phoenix. Kelly and I checked out the outlet mall in Tempe, and found a few good deals. We also went to the mall, and I found some cute shorts from Express. When we got tired of shopping for two afternoons, we took a morning and went to explore a state park down the road. We took a short hiking trail and saw the writing and pictures that Indians had left on the rocks thousands of years ago in the desert mountains. We also saw a "waterfall" in between the mountains that wasn't much of a waterfall since it hasn't rained in so long here. It was awesome, and I am planning on taking my parents back and I'll be sure to post some pictures.

Jerry and Kelly left on Saturday to get back to school, work, and taking care of sweet Janedoe. We are having more visitors on Sunday or Monday when Matt's (Chris's teammate that is living with us) wife, Mom, and grandparents come in for the week. I am so excited to have another wife and friend here! My parents come in on Thursday, and I already have lots of fun in store for them!!! =) (I hope that statement doesn't scare my parents too bad.) I can't wait for them to come in and check out our life in Arizona, and see what Chris is working towards.

Well, it's about 8:00 and we are usually in bed by 9:00 so I better wrap this up!! I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend and a great start to their week! Love ya'll!

PS: I went to get a manicure this afternoon and said the word "ya'll" very loudly. Apparently, you don't hear that word here, and I gave away where I was from by saying that word. It kinda made me miss the south. Ya'll is such a good word.
