Finally in Phoenix!

We left Auburn early Friday morning and set out for Day 1 of our two day drive. On Friday we had about 14 hours to go before we would stop in Sweetwater, Texas to stay for the night. We drove through Mississippi and Louisiana before beginning the long trek across Texas. We made it through Dallas without getting stuck in too much traffic and then we finally made it to the hotel in the middle of Texas around nine. We had been in the car since 6:30 AM and we were SO happy to make it there and rest before we started driving again on Saturday. Our drive on Saturday was long again (about 13 hours) but it was really neat to see so many things that I had never seen before. Chris had seen it all on his drive out to Phoenix last year so he kinda showed me some sights he thought I should see. I have never seen the desert before and it was so interesting to me. The mountains and desert along I-10 are gorgeous and I am glad I got to see a part of the country I have never seen before. We went through El Paso, Texas and saw the Mexican border for miles and miles. We stopped for lunch at a little deli in Las Cruces, New Mexico where New Mexico State is and had lunch before getting to Arizona. We finally made it to Phoenix and to our condo around 7 and we got all our things moved in and we went out and celebrated our safe arrival with some Mexican food. Our condo is super nice and I am planning on spending all my time in the kitchen and by the pool. We are so happy to finally be here, and Chris is ready for Spring Training to officially begin. Thanks to those of you who prayed for our safe arrival. God answers prayers, and we are so blessed to have the opportunity to be here! Keep us in your prayers, and especially pray for Chris as he trains and tries to earn a spot on a team.
