Chris's First Game

Kelly and I after Chris threw... Chris snuck in behind us on the way to cool down...
Chris throwing in the game... and my sad picture taking skills from behind the fence.

Minor league Spring Training games began for the Rangers on Tuesday this week. Chris was scheduled to throw for the High-A team in the third inning. I was so excited to finally get to see him pitch, and his parents were also fortunate to be here to see his first outing. The starter before him wasn't able to go two innings, so Chris was put in for the second inning. He did a fabulous job and got three outs in six pitches. He went back out for the third inning, and did another great job. He allowed no hits, no walks, and only one guy got on base. (Poor guy was crowding the plate, and Chris showed him who was boss.) It was a wonderful first outing and a great start to his time in Spring Training games. I'm a proud wife!!
